Meet the Authors

John Wimbs, Jr. John Wimbs (Book & Lyrics) is the author of Molly Wood, which won two Dora Mavor Moore Awards (Canada’s top theater honor) for Best New Play and Best Production after its world premiere at Toronto’s Bathurst Street Theater. He also won top honors at the Quebec Drama Festival for his play From The Memoirs of Johnny Daze, which was then produced as a feature film in association with the National Film Board of Canada. Mr. Wimbs recently completed work as a staff writer on Edible Incredible! for the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and the feature film script Red, commissioned by Devine Entertainment Corp.
Michael Shaieb Michael Shaieb (Music) received his MFA from NYU's Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program in 1999. Before moving to New York, he performed for 11 years as a classical pianist in Detroit. Film & TV: original music for the Vh1 documentary Last Days of Left Eye, background music for various prime-time television shows, end credits song for the short film Waking Dreams, starring Ben Shenkman. Industrial: Carnaval de Fuego (Six Flags Elitch Gardens). Other musicals: Dogs That Wear Hats; Big Tim, with Stephen Tomac; Pickle Pins, with Diana Hansen-Young; and The Golden State with Tim McCanna.
Brent Lord Brent Lord (Music) also wrote the score for the 2007 NYMF dance commission, Platforms. Film: composed and produced the scores to Blind Side (dir. John Daschbach, Digidance Film Festival) and Waking Dreams (starring Ben Shenkman). TV: original music for the documentary Last Days of Left Eye (VH1 Rock Docs), Latino Beginnings (Logo), and background music for Access Hollywood. He is a co-founder of the music production company FatLab Music with Michael Shaieb and an alumnus of the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
